The GEMC-SDW Schottky Diode Wire is a UL Listed sub-assembly to the Gemini C-Series combination control panel, allowing the GEMC-XXXMB series control panels to support up to thirty-two (32) FW-2S two-wire smoke detectors (each with integral 85dB sounders) when used with the GEMC-F8ZCPIM Conventional 8 Fire Zone Expander Plug in Module. All 8 zones of the GEMC-F8ZCPIM may be used to wire any combination of the total 32 FW-2S smoke detectors (each zone used requires a separate GEMC-SDW). A GEMC-SDW is NOT required for each zone where a FW-2S is used with the integral sounder disabled. Do not mix FW-2S detectors with sounders and without sounders in the same zone. For each zone NOT using integral sounders, up to forty (40) FW-2S units can be utilized.
