The GTO / PRO Photoelectric Dual Beam Detector uses dual beam and through beam technology to reduce false detections when detecting obstructions. The GTO Photo Beams provide a "non-contact"{ means of entrapment protection. When the beams detect the presence of a moving object, the detection will cause the gate(s) to stop and reverse to the fully open position. As long as the beam is obstructed the gate(s) will remain open. Not compatible with solar powered gate operators. The transmitter and receiver have a maximum range of 25'. Photo beams are generally used in two places on swing gates - right past where the gate(s) are closed and right past the end of the swing of the gate(s). On slide gates - right next to the gate. The beams are designed to be used much like on your garage door opener - if something breaks the beam while the gate opener is moving it will stop it from moving any further and causing damage.
