Split Lock Washers are manufactured with a trapezoidal cross section that deflects under load and can be used with or without a Hardened Flat Washer. They provide marginal resistance to vibration loosening and are ideal in applications where fasteners have a tendency to rotate or lose friction. Split Lock Washers are forged from hardened steel and zinc coated. They are covered by ASME B18.21.1.
