Designed for extreme weather resistance, the SM82-EZ-II-WX is an economical solution for integrators who need a surface-mount outdoor speaker option for music and paging applications. SM82-EZ-II-WX incorporates a dedicated 8" polypropylene woofer and an offset 1" soft dome tweeter with waveguide to deliver superb intelligibility for background to foreground music and messaging (up to 106.0 dB max. SPL). SoundTube's proprietary BroadBeam Ring technology in all models ensures high intelligibility, even well off-axis. All SM-EZ-WX speakers are Weather Extreme with an IP65 rating, meaning the speakers are dust-tight and will withstand water jets aimed directly at them when installed with the included port plugs. The SM82-EZ-II-WX uses a 64-watt low-insertion loss transformer and a six-position tap switch with a transformer bypass position. Enclosures for the SM82-EZ-II-WX are ported, with port plugs included; grilles and mounting hardware are powder coated aluminum. Mounting for the SM82-EZ-II-WX includes a proprietary, tool-free, low-profile Stealth™ bracket with a direct drive cam-wedge for stable and precise aiming up to 90 in one direction. Inputs are made via ceramic terminal strips, making these speakers suitable for European voice evacuation systems. A safety cable, wall mount bracket, conduit connector and port hole plug are all included. IP-Rating: IP65. *Note: If used indoors, remove the grille and take the plug out of the port for greater bass output. Port must remain plugged to maintain IP65 rating in outdoor use.
